Who are we?

My Story

Hi, I’m Chris! I have spent over a decade working in emergency services, spending 10+ years as a Firefighter with NSW Fire & Rescue. I recently completed a Diploma of Auslan, with plans to become a qualified Auslan interpreter and be issued a Diploma in Community Services this year.

Throughout my career as a Firefighter, I have always had an eagerness for helping the community. Since studying Auslan, I have developed a passion for supporting others within the community. I decided to branch out my career and put this passion to good use, becoming an independent support worker.

I have a keen personal interest in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, being actively engaged in Auslan social events and volunteering my time and skills to help the community.

With my extensive experience in emergency services and my newly acquired qualifications, I am confident in my ability to not only continue to help the community but also make a meaningful impact by being an independent support worker.
